Projected Yield and Cashflow Calculator • 29BB
Fund data as at 31/07/2025
This calculator is designed to help investors understand how the Defined Income Bond ETFs can provide predictability of cash flow and capital return, with a set maturity date.
- Estimated Investment Amount required to generate your target monthly income amount
- Projected yield over the term of the investment
- Projected monthly cashflows through to the Fund's set maturity date
- Projected total income to maturity
- Projected total return at maturity (total income received plus return of principal at maturity).
Important Information and Key Assumptions
Projected outcomes are hypothetical and provided for illustrative purposes only. Future outcomes are inherently uncertain. Actual outcomes may differ materially from any estimates or projections provided. The calculator does not constitute personal financial advice and is not intended to be relied upon when making financial decisions.
The projections provided by the calculator are based on a set of assumptions. It's important to read the assumptions and limitations so you understand how the calculator works.

The following assumptions have been made and support the basis of all calculations.
Projected Yield to Worst net of fees (% p.a.)
- taking the Fund's Yield to Worst* (Yield) and Net Asset Value (NAV) as at close of market for the prior business day;
- adjusting the Yield based on the Purchase Price entered into the calculator, using the Yield and NAV. This adjustment is made using a standard bond market measure called "modified duration" which estimates how a bond's yield responds to price changes assuming a small change in the level of interest rates;
- taking the resulting figure and reducing it by the Funds' management fee (0.22% p.a.), to arrive at the Projected Yield to Worst net of fees (% p.a.).
- Assumes you are able to trade at the purchase price you entered into the calculator. The calculator does not take into account brokerage costs or the bid/offer spread that investors incur when buying and selling units on the ASX. The price at which investors are able to buy units in a Fund fluctuates and there is no guarantee you will be able to buy units at the purchase price you have entered;
- Assumes units in the Fund are held until maturity of the Fund (i.e. the units are not sold prior to the Fund's maturity);
- Assumes all distributions are reinvested (ie all monthly income received is reinvested in the Fund);
- Assumes no additional investments are made following the initial Investment Amount until maturity of the Fund;
- Does not take into account tax paid as an investor of the Fund;
- Assumes bonds held in the Fund's portfolio do not default (i.e. it assumes all bond issuers are able to make interest and principal payments as promised);
- Calculation inputs (NAV, yield, duration) are based on the previous business-day's market close.
Projected Monthly Income
The Projected Monthly Income is calculated multiplying the current Target Monthly Distribution ($ per unit) by the Hypothetical Units Acquired. The Target Monthly Distribution is published on the relevant Fund's website. The Target Distribution may vary in certain circumstances. Please refer to the relevant Fund PDS for more information. Any change in the Target Monthly Distribution would cause the Projected Monthly Income to vary.
Projected Return of Principal at Maturity
The Projected Return of Principal at Maturity assumes each unit in the Fund is repaid at a value of $25 at termination of the Fund (being the issue price of units at inception of the Fund on 30 April 2025). However, at maturity you will receive the NAV per unit at the time of termination of the Fund, which may be higher or lower than $25. Betashares does not guarantee the performance of the Funds, or the repayment of capital or any rate of return.
Projected Distribution Yield
The Projected Distribution Yield reflects the projected annual distribution amount (calculated by summing the Projected Monthly Income over 12 months), as a percentage of the Purchase Price entered the calculator.
Maturity Date
Betashares has proposed the Funds will terminate in May of the relevant maturity year (i.e. May 2028 for 28BB, May 2029 for 29BB, May 30 for 30BB), but has not proposed a specific termination date. The Maturity Date used in the calculator is for illustrative purposes only and Betashares makes no representation as to the specific termination date. Investors will be notified of the Maturity Date prior to the relevant Fund's termination.
Inflation
All dollar values are in nominal terms, meaning they are not adjusted for inflation. We consider this assumption reasonable for the purposes of illustration considering the type of financial product, the inputs required, and the projections provided. However, it's important to note that the future purchasing power of your investment returns may be reduced over time due to inflation. Returns generated by fixed income investments may not keep pace with rising inflation, resulting in real (inflation-adjusted) returns being significantly lower than projected nominal returns.
Time periods
Calculations are based on a time period commencing on the date you input information into the calculator and ending on the Maturity Date.
Settlement period
Calculations assume you acquire units in the relevant fund on the day you use the calculator, and you redeem your units on the hypothetical Maturity Date (and do not roll your units into a new Defined Income Bond ETF). For simplicity, settlement is assumed as immediate (T+0), noting the usual settlement period relating to an acquisition of units is T+2. This assumption does not materially affect the projected income amount.
Important information
The outputs of the calculator are hypothetical and provided for illustrative purposes only.
The value of the investments may go up or down and investors may not get back the amount invested. Simulated performance is not indicative of future performance of any fund.
Future outcomes are inherently uncertain. Actual outcomes may differ materially from those contemplated in any estimates or other forward-looking statements given through this calculator. Betashares does not guarantee the performance of any fund, or the repayment of capital or any rate of return.
